Eh I think I am a bit too ruthless as the most experienced player in my playgroup. In my defense, some of the other players are in a bit of an arms race, and wouldn't really recognize experience as the reason for above average wins.

One correction, at 4:18 , the myriad creatures are exiled, not put into the graveyard, so it wouldnt trigger ygra

Im surprised you don’t include worldshaper. Even if he doesn’t get to attack, you can still bring him back from your GY, sac him and fill your board with lands. Especially if you’re running a ton of mill already. Look at him like a 4 mana “ return all lands from your graveyard to the battlefield” sorcery vs a creature.

I made a Magnus deck bc it looked fun, it’s by far my best deck and wins almost everytime

So your artifacts turning into elementals don’t trigger ETB effects. The artifacts have already entered and turning them into creatures doesn’t count as them entering as creatures. So molten echos is not good unless you decks loaded with elements. It’s not good here.

The myriad copies of Scion of Calamity won’t trigger Ygra because Myriad Exiles, not sacrifice. Ygra depends on food entering the graveyard. That Vraska I believe won’t trigger Ygra either, even if it does seem fun. From what it looks like, vraska removes all other types from the creatures you steal, so making them no longer a creature or a food.

Been playing this deck since release, Guide of Souls is absolute must in this deck, most of the time you're able to (assuming you have the guide turn 1 or 2) attack with your commander, make another guide, and use the second ability on the guide to give your commander 2 +1/+1 counters and a flying counter. AND you have 1 energy left over to keep the copy of the guide. Definitely picking up Intrepid Adversary to try out!

I'm really tempted to go back to a commander burn deck with so many new options. But at this moment, I'm planning to use the new Dragonhawk as a mono red commander because I still think a mixed strategy is needed for burn in commander: That way it's a big flyer I cast with other big flyer and damage duplicators that also count towards that Dragonhawk impulse draw + Burn ability so it ties up half a creature and half a burn strategy very nicely. Yet I really wanna try to make commander Izzet burn work with some of these new cards they might just push it far enough but they almost never do unless you do something like Underwold Breach (But at that point, you're a breach deck not a burn deck imho)

I think another funny spell to put in this deck is possibility storm. Yes it will affect your spells but it will basically make it so much harder for your opponent to counter your spells or get rid of them plus it will also be a 4/4

Can you actually trigger Etali with Orthion (or any other copy effects)? Doesnt the legend rule destroy it as statebased action without triggering an etb?

I was really surprised you didn't mention fangren marauder. Whenever an artifact is out into a graveyard gain 5 life. This will go into my ygra deck

Pulled this beast in my pre-release yesterday and it was fun! Was running a red/green aggro/midrange deck and splashed black just to be able to jam this thing in. It was pretty nasty! lol...I had a bunch of ways to pump my creatures and to give them trample...at one point in one of my games I attacked in with Ygra as a 20/20 trampler with a card in hand to give it indestructible and hexproof if needed with a card called overprotect. It was fun! :D Ended up winning all 3 rounds! (I actually won round 1 with a blue/white bird deck, then switched to my red/green round 2 and 3)

Lol boo hoo to them lol. I have had to face Yuriko, Sen triplets, Rakdos, the Muscle, Narset, Enlighted Master, Lord Windgrace land destruction, Tergrid, kiki jiki, Muxus etc... they dont get to complain
